Adult Sailing
Rya courses
Our adult courses follow the RYA Start Sailing syllabus, designed to get you out on the water safely, confidently, and—most importantly—enjoyably.
Level One The perfect starting point, with no previous experience required. Youll cover all the fundamentals of sailing, from the ground up, building confidence as you go. By the end of the course, youll be able to sail comfortably and head out independently under supervision.
Level Two Ready to take the next step? This course focuses on refining your technique and developing true independence on the water. Youll learn key manoeuvres such as Man Overboard recovery and coming alongside a pontoon—equipping you with the skills to explore further with confidence.
One to one sessions
We offer tailored one-to-one coaching for all levels of sailing. Whether youre just starting out or looking to perfect advanced techniques, our instructors will create a personalised plan to suit your goals.
These sessions are a flexible, often more cost-effective way to get started or to accelerate your progress, all while fitting around your schedule. For more information, please get in touch.
Floating coach
Our Floating Coach sessions run whenever tides and daylight allow, offering a relaxed and supportive way to develop your sailing.
An instructor will be on hand to help you get afloat, before heading out in a safety boat within the sailing area—available to answer questions, offer guidance, or provide feedback whenever you need it.
You can interact as much or as little as you like: ask for advice, request technique feedback, or simply enjoy your sailing knowing safety cover is in place. With your permission, sessions can also include video feedback to help you review and improve your performance.
If youd like to receive updates on upcoming sessions, just get in touch.
Race sessions
If youre keen to get into racing, our Start Racing sessions are the ideal introduction.
An instructor will guide you through the rules, race procedures, and key tactics, helping you build confidence and sharpen your competitive edge.
You can also join club racing with on-the-water support—gaining insight into briefings, race strategy, and course navigation. While coached races wont count towards official results, your performance will still be tracked so you can measure your progress and improvement.
